A NEW DIRECTION FOR EARTH!!IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT – EXCITING NEWS AND OPPORTUNITY! From 2010, Earth will be heading down a new path that will see us working more closely with congregations and interested groups to support and empower them in developing their own young adult ministries. While we will continue some of the valuable events and opportunities that we have been offering throughout the last 8 years – such as the annual Leadership for Life Conference – you will notice we won’t have such a full calendar of events. We’re still exploring what this might look like ‘in real life’ but it may include: - Earth offering a form of ‘consultancy’ to congregations who want support in nurturing young adults - Resourcing the broader church community for young adult ministry, e.g. offering small group resources for loan, rejuvenating the Earth website as a resource for young adults and people working with young adults - Advocacy for young adults within the SA Synod
The leadership team is eager to develop our new direction further, and we’ll certainly keep you posted via the Earth email and the website as things progress. Earth will be working to support your own church to better provide resources and events to allow you to flourish and we are still passionate about connecting young adults across congregations. If you are working to support young adults we will be endeavouring to work with you to offer the best opportunities for young adults in your community.
